Click the "Start" button select "Run" and
type "winipcfg" (without the quotes), hit "OK". |
The top window will normally show "PPP",
just click the arrow and select your network card from the list. |

Click the "Release" button and the IP
address should display zeros. |
Click the "Renew" button the IP address
should fill with a 12.176.58.0 series address, or in the case of a router
being used it will be a 192.168.0.0 series address. |

If the IP Address fills the
window with a valid IP number (a 169.0.0.0 number means you are not
connected) then you are connected to us or at least to your router. |
